Job Summary
This position reports to the operations manager at Johnson Junk Removal. The associate will work as part of the field team, handling tasks for homes and businesses. Responsibilities include loading and hauling junk, light demolition, and driving company trucks. This is a physically demanding role requiring work in all weather conditions and throughout all seasons. Work hours may vary depending on seasonal demand and company needs. Flexibility is key, and the same is expected from management. Associates are encouraged to communicate openly with the manager/owner regarding questions or concerns at any time.
Johnson Junk Removal Duties and Responsibilities

Picking up junk from homes and businesses, including items inside buildings or outside piles

Light demolition, including sheds, decks, hot tubs, swing sets, and similar structures

Dismantling large or bulky items to safely move them into trucks

Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards on job sites
Skills and Qualifications

Ability to lift heavy objects and remain on your feet for extended periods in various weather conditions

Experience with driving trucks and using tools such as sledgehammers, Sawzalls, drills, hand trucks, etc.

Professional and friendly appearance and demeanor; strong customer service skills

Ability to estimate jobs on-site and adjust pricing based on additional customer requests

Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Willingness to learn, work efficiently, and prioritize safety at all times

Comfortable asking questions when uncertain
